The processes of urban requalification are at the heart of the historic city or on the requalification of the city outskirts. These are processes that span from multiple scales and experiences from the construction of new buildings, to the urban plan and the construction of parks and equipment.

There are many places to experience. From the intervention in the historic city, where architectural works function as cultural icons and artistic engines of the city’s transformation, to interventions in disqualified contexts - a result of pure housing speculation, where the architectural work introduces new concepts of rule and discipline that work as the engines for a new urban order.

In Porto, we have some good examples: Rem Koolhaas' Casa da Música, Siza's Serralves Museum, the operations of urban rehabilitation in the historic centre and in the parks, waterfronts and all the equipment that qualifies the city outskirts.
